Will the introductory prices be removed for everyone? NOT ACCEPTABLE
I have received an email saying that the introductory prices will be removed for everyone after the stabilization period. The reason I joined and many other was because WE WERE PROMISED, that the prices will remain one the launch phase is over since we have been loyal and joined earlier. I have included proof of the statement of Fizz that was taken off recently from the website.
We will not accept getting the introductory prices removed after the stabilization period.

No you will keep your beta price as long as you don't change your actual plan!8

As long as you don’t change your plan, the price will remain the same8
-
At that point, regular prices will come into effect. You’ll be happily surprised by these once the stabilization period has come to an end. You will be notified of any change one month in advance.
I do not know what will happen, however, I do not the meaning of this happily surprised

I like how everyone is so sure, like they work at fizz...10

I was concerned about the same thing, I have messaged their support. As soon as I get a response, I will post an update here.8

They're saying they extend Beta until july.Nothing more , no need for drama.8

Andrei, Beta pricing has been over since November 2018. We are currently on Intro pricing, and the reason why we are so concerned is because of the wordings they have chosen in their statement to their existing customers as well as to the general public, and they have written "Regular Prices" in bold on their website.7
-
I understand but I'm sure it's just a case of bad wording.7
-
Yes we all gonna lose it. Bye Fizz!8

I believe they will be removed only for new customers.
It would be a disaster from business perspective to remove them for current customers.6 -
EVERYONE will be put back to regular price! I just chatted with a representative!6

At the time of my membership, Fizz was promoting a clear commitment into honouring the introductory prices as long as there is no change to the Plan.
However, they have every right to modify the offer for new members.
So if I understand the Fizz's intentions, new members will receive a discount of 30% until the stabilization of the system and they will be raised to the regular price after that period.
Customers who took advantage of the introductory rates with Fizz's commitment to honour their launch prices as long as you do not modify your plan, will receive a 10% discount during the stabilization period and come back to the price they had at the time of their adhesion, as long as they do not change their plan.
Anything else is a scam and I'll be the first to get to barricades!
For all I care, they can keep their 10% discount and ...
@Whizz, time for you to joint the party and MAKE THIS RIGHT!

Does anybody know what "changing your plan" means? For example if I use an earned upgrade or perk, does that count as changing my plan? Hope not. That would be real sneaky6
-
No Oindo, changing you plan means if you add more data, remove data, change service coverage, change unlimited texting/calling, etc... Any upgrades and perks you get arent affected.4
-
I do agree it was worded wrongly. People who pay for introductory prices right now will receive another 10% discount on top of the 20%(introductory). After the period of 3 months, they will then go back to introductory prices. Nothing to worry about, you'll keep the introductory pricing unless you change your plan.5

This is not the right time for prepaid telecom carriers to be raising prices. Freedom Mobile just announced lower priced plans. Lucky Mobile, Chatr and Public Mobile have been lowering their prices as well.
If Fizz discontinues Introductory pricing after the stabilization period, unfortunately there won't be many customers who will stay with Fizz.

What will happen is they will increase the price?
A competitor will see the opportunity to have thousands of new customers in a couple of days.7 -
As crummy as this can turn out to be, this is just business. I get it. This is when you vote with your dollars. So far I like their website and options they give me. I don't like their stability, but you get what you pay for. We all want cheap, stable and flexible provider. To me the other providers are still lacking in price / features / coverage even compared to fizz regular prices. We'll see in the future if that changes.5
-
@Andy I have problems when I see people that they say is cheap. If we are used to paying this kind of money, it does not mean that are cheap.8
-
@Irene perhaps I am misunderstanding. Are you are showing a European plan? You cannot compare Canadian mobile pricing. We pay one of the highest rates for mobile and Internet in 1st world countries. If I saw a plan like that in Canada I would be there and not on Fizz. If you are showing me that plan and it's available in Ottawa. If flexibility and coverage is comparable, I'm outta here.5
-
Yes is a french one. It is only to say that is not cheap. If in Europe they are able to have a valid service why we cannot have it?7

Here's why you all need to stop blindly believing the old promises Fizz made: they actually took them out.
This link: https://fizz.ca/en/node/2171
Was pointed at by an official Fizz rep in this thread: https://community.fizz.ca/questions/1820842-register-introductory-rate-keep-plan-price-forever
That thread was talking about keeping the introductory pricing, Notice how an official rep quickly jumped in there to clarify what was good PR? Now look at the lack of official reps here!
It would be really, really good PR to just say we will keep our introductory prices outright. Yet no one from the Fizz team seems ready to commit to that. That's telling.5
