Activation code on a new SIM card already used by another member

A friend gave me an opened package but never installed on a phone SIM card. Yet, when I try to create my plan and activate the SIM says that the "Activation code has already been assigned to a member". Can I use this SIM anyway, or I should order a new one?

You should contact the customer service. I believe that they will reimburse your friend.
Contact fizz, going on one of the FAQ pages after 8am, https://fizz.ca/en/faq/i-ordered-sim-card-but-havent-received-it-what-do-i-do
Wait 15 seconds for the bubble icon to appear at the bottom right of the browser and click on the icon)
You can also send a message by Facebook
https://facebook.com/fizzca and click send a message (this is a bit slower)2 -
Try to reactivate again, sometimes it might be a display issue (bug). Or the activation needs time.
If the problem remains, contact Fizz by chat or Facebook.
Good luck!4 -
Did you used the same email address when your ordered and tried to activate the sim?1

It turns out that an account creation process has been started with this activation code but never finished, and that seems to be the main problem. Finally I gave up and bought another SIM.1
