    Only contacts stored in your SIM card will disappear from your phone. This isn't the normal setup usually, with contacts being stored on Google or Apple services depending on if Android or iOS. But you can double check and copy or move SIM contacts from the contacts app on your phone.

    Long time ago when people used to save contacts on their sim card, now smartphones are around the world now, so you will never concern about losing contacts. They are stored default in your phone.

    If you still worry that, try to make a backup (sync contacts by your Google account, etc.) for your contact list before changing the sim card.

    Another alternative if you are worried about it is to export the contacts to your PC.
