Wifi is always slower, what is your outer config for wifi
Are you using b g or n
Also are ou on 2.4 or 5ghz
Otherwise I would suggest to reboot your router and wifi device6 -
Check your config...but Fizz modem may not be the best for wifi. You can bypass it and use your own router for the best speeds.6

You can try a few things with your FIZZ modem
Login to your modem 192.168.0.1/
Try turning OFF 2.4GB network, so only 5GB is ON and reboot devices
(test from the furthest place of your place from the modem)
If this doesn't solve the problem try turning 5GB OFF so only 2.4 GB is ON
and reboot devices (test from the furthest place of your place from the modem)
What ever network gives you the best speed, keep it ON and test different channels
I fixed my problem using only 5GB on channel 161
I get 67Mbps down and 12Mbps up
Also try to turn OFF ATF settings
I hope this helps7 -
Check if your device support 802.11n or 802.11ac. Because the wi-fi standard 802.11g has a maximum speed of 54 mbps in theory but in practice it is more like 11 mbps. For exemple an older computer will support the of 100 mbps speed for the wired Ethernet connection but it wireless card won’t reach that speed.3

It can depend on how old the device is(they don't support newer protocols). For example, my ipad mini can reach 20-25 mbp, while my cell phone can reach 60 mbps on the same wifi network1

Both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz are more than capable of reaching 60 Mbps, even at a distance. Make sure your 2.4 network is set to wireless N only. If it's broadcasting on an older standard it would explain the slow speed. Interference could also be an issue. Download a WiFi analyzer app to find the channel with the least traffic.5

on iPhone X I got 40M with speedtest.com but when I try the Wifi App on iPhone I got 60M, which one to trust?3

What it says is your wifi can reach 60mbps4

it cannot reach 60MB on my iPhone X1

You’ll rarely hit the 60 on wifi anyway2
-
in fact sometimes it reached 62M but, it goes back to 33M, which is desappointing3

In my Router, I had the previous speed detected as max speed in the QOS.
May be try to re-test the speed from the router to maximize the available download/upload speed with the new provider.2 -
Same for me here.
I cannot get the 60Mbps. I have tested several times, the max one is 33Mbps for DL, while the UL is always around 10Mbps. The test is made on the laptop.
I use only WIFI, not the Ethernet cable. I turn on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, as my laptop is not new enough to support WIFI ac.2 -
You can reach 60M with your iPhone but not the iPhone X so the problem is the iPhone X.3
