Ported number from Fido, can make calls but don't receive calls, text not working, data not working
I ported my number from Fido and can make calls but don't receive calls.
Text is not working.
SMS is not working.
Data is not working. I checked the APN settings and verified multiple times spelling and everything is setup exactly like the instructions here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn#2
Can anyone help? I don't see the chat bubble either for support.

Number transfers can take some time to get completed. How long has it been? Does your old sim still function?22 -
I put my FIDO sim back in and looks like everything is still working with FIDO including data. Does this mean the port was not successful? Should I put the fizz sim card back in?21

It could very well be a delay in the porting process. However, there are many today not able to send and/or receive sms. As for data, are you on android or iphone? If iphone, update to ios 12.1. If Android, go to manage plans, advance parameters, click on resend network parameters. It will send you a text to set up your data and mms. Not sure if this will go through if you're not receiving sms.21

If your Fido SIM is still working, it does mean that the port has not been successful. From reading these forums, it looks like porting on the weekend is quite a bit longer than during the weekdays.
Did you get the "Your plan is live!" e-mail with the service contract? That usually is the indication everything should be up and running.

Thanks for all the replies, I really appreciate it!
So this morning I am able to make and receive voice calls, data is working, send text works. Receive text does not work and MMS send/receive does not work. I also got an email saying I need to set up an appointment to complete the port as they were unable to. I find that email strange as all these services are working.21 -
I have an android, I can't find the manage plans, advance parameters, resend network parameters. What menu is all of this under settings?21
