What do you think about wifi connection ?

Hi guys,
This is my 2nd day with fizz home internet 60/10 , everything is good till now ( Montreal area)
the only thing im wondering about is the connection , is it normal for you guys ?
I know that this modem offer 2.4 and 5g , the question is there any config that makes 5g first ?

    Each frequence has its own ssid. Just connect to 5GHz ssid and use it.

    Band steering is on by default, and that combines the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz band together, im guessing whenever you go 10m from the router, it switches to 2.4ghz automatically. You have to access the modem config (192.168.0.1), go into Wireless -> 5ghz and turn off band steering, and then place the channel width to 80mhz, also set the channel thats the least crowded around you. Then do the same for 2.4ghz, use 40mhz channel width and change the channel to something other than 1, 6, or 11. Make sure both bands have different names so you can differentiate 2.4ghz from 5ghz. Do the test again, while being connected to the 5ghz band.
