Do we need to have a data plan in order to receive data gifts when you go up in a level ??

Once the upgrade data is applied to your plan, it will take effect only at the next billing cycle.9

Did you activate the upgrade in your profile page? I’m also not entirely sure if it starts right away or at the next billing cycle once you activate it.5

To receive data gifts from other subscribers you need to have data on your plan as well. It's in the fine print. To use the Upgrade, you should just need to select it My Upgrades.8

I had the same issue as you! Just wait until your next billing cycle and you should be able to use your data gift.4

It doesn't matter which level, You do need a data plan to receive data gift. For data perks, you can receive it without data plan. Data perks is one time and everybody only has one.2
