Number transferred, could call out through FIZZ, but can't receive call, why?
I transferred from Rogers and kept my phone number. The new line on FIZZ is activated right way. I could call out and access internal under my plan.
BUT all the calls trying to reach my phone number are always directed to voice mailbox, hence nobody could reach me. Any help?

The transfer has not been completed. You will get a message from Fizz telling you that the number has been ported successfully. Then you will have full service. It may take a few hours or even a day or two.18

As Nicolas said, this is because the porting process is not instantaneous. Fizz will act like it now owns the number and show it on outgoing calls, but incoming calls would have to be to a temporary number that is assigned during the porting process (not sure if Fizz lets you know what this number is). Calls coming in to your Rogers number are still being routed to Rogers until they officially release the number to Fizz and the port is complete. If calls are going straight to voicemail I presume that the reason is you have only one phone and it now has your Fizz sim in it. With no phone turned on and using the Rogers sim all calls would be automatically routed to voicemail. All perfectly normal behaviour.18

The transfer can be as quick as a few minutes or much longer - try to message Fizz and see if they can expedite the process. I was luckier, but that was weeks ago...11

What people said above is likely the cause.
I just wan't to add to not freak out when you do receive an e-mail from Fizz.
In my case, the transfer was completed and working after 6 hours.
Much later, I receive an e-mail that the transfer had failed, than one that it had succeed and finally one that I needed to activate my sim...
So yea, whatever the email says, just ignore it and test if your sim is working fine or not.10 -
Mine took ten minuites, got lucky i guess, received a message saying porting failed, and then another message saying line is active.8
