Porting with new sim and upgrades/referral bonuses?

Has anyone ported their number over by activating a new sim and cancelling their current one? Can you confirm what happens to your upgrades and referral bonuses? I was on chat and the csr said that you can only apply upgrades and referral bonuses to the first sim you activated. So there is no way to port in after the fact and keep your upgrades and referral bonuses.

The bonus should be associated with your account, not your sim. In same account you can have multiple sim. Because it's still same account, I didn't see any reason why you can't keep it.13

When you go to "Manage Plan" -> "Change SIM card" you should be able to associate a new sim to this plan. It doesn't change your plan so you should keep your plan as is.
The upgrades and bonuses are for your main line so I don't see how those will disappear.10 -
It makes no sense what she says, but I asked her 5 times. Usually if they are not sure about an answer they would open up a ticket. I wonder if upgrades and referral bonuses are linked to the plan and not the account. For a company who is marketing simplicity, this is sure complex and confusing.6

Maybe the primary SIM you associate with the account is the only one that can receive bonuses so Fizz avoids giving out bonuses to multiple secondary SIM cards... I would be careful cancelling the primary SIM of the account unless you have Fizz chat on with you while you do it so they can confirm this.6
