iMessage never activates

The iMessage app never adds my phone number as being able to Send & Receive iMessages, it stays in a pending state of "Activating". I read elsewhere that this is a known issue. It's a very big issue!

This is due to the fact that Fizz are blocking SMS from services like Apple iMessage, 2FA, SMS notifications. I’m honestly thinking of switching to another company since I think this should have been told upfront when subscribing to the beta. I’m locked out of multiple accounts because I can’t receive any 2FA messages. It could be great to have an ETA on this fix.13

Thanks V.C. I did try but no luck. I believe this is linked to the network's inability to process 2-step verification codes that was discussed in another post as a known issue. It's a big issue, and we're being pressured into signing up to Fizz before tomorrow when these types of issues are still not resolved. Not cool.12

Hi all,
Agreed that it's annoying when SMS such as 2FA and activation SMS are not being received.
Not an expert here but it's likely due to the aggregators who carry messages from business to mobile operators.
With respect however, I don't think anyone is pressuring anyone to do anything, Marketing folks at Fizz are simply promoting their offers and their deadlines.
I did not port yet mind. I am a subscriber to +1 mobile network right now.

I finally got mine activated this morning. I can’t send using the phone number but my other emails do work to send and receive.
I had to call Apple to get my # dissociated from iMessage since their self serve option would it work with me since Fizz doesn’t relay short length SMS # currently.10 -
Hi Vincent,
We apologize for the inconvenient this issue may have caused you. I assure you our teams are working to fix this situation as fast as possible.

Same here. iPhone 6s iOS 12.1
iMessage will only work with your apple ID associated email, but will not activate with your phone number. Tried Reseting all network settings. Nothing. Gonna have to wait until they get their network problem sorted out.
Good luck team Fizz.10 -
Some reports on the community that iMessage is activating - can you try again?

Hi Robin,
Thank you for taking the interest in sharing your thoughts. We can't share an ETA at the moment as we do not want to thread on false promises, rest assured that this is one of our top priorities and it will get fixed soon.
We will update you and this thread once we get more updates.

Is it fixed yet?10

My iMessage has been working since 10 days now.
It activated by itself all of a sudden. Mine works with phone number and email now. In the beginning it only worked with email.

I just transferred my number over and I'm having the same issue with iMessage, it just says "waiting for activation"...is the issue fixed?8

Yep it is!
I helped two non-techie mates set up their Fizz accounts last week on iPhones X and XS and both were fine and straight away up and running.
Apple is a beautiful thing!8
