Question about Black Friday free data coverage area

First of all, thanks Fizz! I received 40GB of free data today as part of the Black Friday promotion, which is a really nice surprise!

I just have one question about the coverage area of this free data. Can it also be used in the US? For example, if I travel to the United States, would I be able to activate and use these 40GB of free data there, or is it only available in Canada?

I'd appreciate it if anyone who knows could share some information. Thanks!

Hey @cool_light123, I am not very sure, but does your plan cover US + Canada? I would expect that the free data would apply to the entire coverage area of your mobile plan.

"Your coverage area determines where your calls, texts, and mobile data are included in your plan. For example, if your mobile plan has provincial Quebec coverage, your mobile data is included in Quebec only. It is not included elsewhere in Canada, unless you have an applicable Travel Add-On or Canada coverage. "

If your coverage area is Canada + US, your mobile data apply to that area and thus I would also expect that the data from perks are valid in that coverage area.
