Will Fizz finally improve the bitrate of American TV channels?

Would it be possible to bring the channel bitrates up for channels that are clearly not at the same quality as others (eg, CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC)? As we head into fall it would be nice to watch live sports in a way that matches the quality of other sports channels (TVA sports, RDS). People would be happy with 720p - just please improve bitrate quality. Thanks

    Hi, the USA channels are received by OTA antenna through cable distributors. Each USA channel has 3 to 7 subchannels, which reduces the picture quality even if we pick it up outside with an antenna. So it's not Fizz's fault here.

    OTA antenna is one of the purest signals so that should mean a much better picture than what is currently being shown. It’s a matter of compression on Fizz’s end.

    Yes, the signal is purer, but when channels add compression to include sub-channels, the picture quality gets worse. Here in Canada, sub-channels are forbidden.

    Each channel has 19,39 mbit/s max. If you do like NBC 2 HD, because CW is also on the same signal plus 4 sub-channels, there’s not much bandwidth left. Look at the difference in quality between Canadian and American English channels outdoors, and you can really see it during action scenes.
