Watching the world cup without affecting my current internet plan?

Essentially I want to watch the world cup with the cheapest plan possible (ideally in French) and then smoothly unsubscribe when it's done

It's not totally clear to me if the add-on can be removed without issue, which is important because I have a locked-in lower wifi price from a previous offer and I don't want to mess that up

Also it's not clear which channels actually show the matches at home and on the go, for example I just saw another thread on this page of a guy complaining about the lack of transparency regarding TSN coverage

For example, if I were to select the basic 9 buck package, is that enough to watch the cup on my phone and at home? If I buy the M6 addon (European French channel) will it allow me to actually watch M6 coverage of the matches, with no tricks or asterisks involved?

Please help me with some idiot-proof steps

Thanks for your time.

You can safely add and remove Fizz TV without affecting your grandfathered internet price, as TV and Internet plans are billed individually. However, the Basic $9 package does not show World Cup matches. You will need to customize your plan to include specific sports channels to watch the games.

The FIFA World Cup rights in Canada are primarily held by TSN (English) and RDS (French).

Basic Package ($9): The basic package includes general-interest channels (like CBC and CTV) but does not include TSN or RDS.
M6 International: While available on Fizz as an add-on, M6 does not hold Canadian broadcasting rights for the World Cup, so you will not be able to watch matches there.

To watch the tournament, you will need to add the correct sports networks to your subscription:

French Coverage: You need RDS to watch the World Cup in French. You must select a customizable plan (e.g., Basic + 5 or 20 channels) and choose RDS.

English Coverage: You need TSN. Be aware that matches are often broadcast across multiple TSN feeds. If you buy the "TSN Package", it usually grants access to the main feeds, but you should check the exact channels included in the app guide before checkout.

You can watch on your phone or tablet. The Fizz TV app functions on multiple platforms, so you can log in on your mobile device as long as you are connected to the internet. (Remember, the Fizz TV service is delivered over the internet, so mobile viewing counts toward your mobile data limits if you aren't on Wi-Fi).
