Is activating roaming going to charge me?

Hi, no, there are no additional charges with Fizz. Try restarting your phone or putting it in airplane mode for a few moments to see if that helps.
Contact customer support if you haven't updated your address yet, and let them know about your roaming issue as well. https://fizz.ca/en/support

Hi, you shouldn't be charged within your coverage zone.
Roaming would allow your phone to connect to partner networks for better coverage. If you travel outside your coverage zone with roaming enabled and you have funds in your wallet, they might be used automatically but you wouldn't be charged in any other way without purchasing an addon or such, as it is a prepaid service.

The Fizz coverage map is found here: https://fizz.ca/en/coverage
It appears that Petit Saguenay is within Fizz coverage area but not within the subscription area. However, as was already suggested, it's best to check with customer service.

As other members have mentioned, Petit-Saguenay is outside of Fizz' subscription area. As per Fizz' terms and conditions, you would not be able to change your Fizz plan's registered address to Petit-Saguenay nor would you be able to use Fizz services there for more than three months.
Fizz does not have its own coverage in Petit-Saguenay, but their partner networks do. So, you will be permanently roaming on Fizz' partner networks. You won't be charged extra for it and you may or may not have to enable data roaming to do so, that depends on what phone model you have. However, Fizz' terms state that the majority of your usage cannot be on the partner networks for more than three consecutive months.
