I want to add another line on my account. I want the cheapest plan available. Any suggestions?

Hi,
You can disable any feature you don't need when choosing a plan, such as voice mail, unlimited calls, texts or data and limiting coverage zone if you want the cheapest option.0 -
It depends on your province, but you can choose what features to include or not. A basic line with no data, calls or text is $15 in Ontario.

As others have said, you can choose to remove any feature you don't want. If you're in Ontario or Québec, you can use the Fizz wallet for any usage you have. The cost is 10 cents per call and 5 cents per text if you're using the wallet. Another option from any province is to get an add-on which would be good until the end of your next billing cycle. For example, $3 calling add on gives you 60 minutes in your calling area (i.e. province, Canada wide or Canada+US). It's best to get the add on shortly after took start a new billing cycle to maximize the time for it.
If you have a phone that takes esim, it should be able to be activated almost immediately. Otherwise, you can buy a sim card from the Fizz website or a store that sells them. Activation is also very fast once you have a physical card. I activated two lines - one with an esim and the other with a physical sim. Both were ready to use within 10-15 minutes. If you're starting with a new phone number assigned from Fizz it would be even faster.

I personally have a $8 plan with only data, no minutes nor text.
Are you still using physical SIM card? If yes, once you place an order and get it delivered, activation is within an hour. Otherwise, eSIM is free for new lines and activation is also around an hour.0 -
You need to have a plan with some data (1gb) to receive gifts of data.

The cheapest plans currently with Fizz are $13 for BC, AB, ON or $11 for QC. Please note, everyone gets a free 250 MB data perk for being Fizz Rewards Level 1, so you are not entirely without data after putting the free perk on your plan.
As, @bjlockie mentioned though, you do have to add at least the minimum level of data to your plan to receive data gifts from others. You would not be eligible for that with just the 250 MB perk.
By the way, the minimum level of data is 2 GB these days, in both BC, AB, ON as well as QC.0 -
If you only need second number, you can get a voip instead.
