Why are iPhone prices so high?
Been in the market for a newer refurb iPhone 15 to replace my 11 but prices seem so out of touch compared to the resale market. I would guess prices are $200-300 higher on Fizz compared to Kijiji or Marketplace. Prices haven’t budged since the 17’s were released either. Plan discounts offered are only on 13/14 and only 15%. Don’t know about Android prices but these iPhone prices are prohibitively high compared to cash resale. Sure, no warranty or financing option but still… What gives?

I assume devices from Marketplace or Kijiji aren't really refurbished and don't carry any sort of guarantee, unlike buying from any provider. I'd compare to what retailers are offering instead.

Hi caution , fake iPhone exist too with low price and possible lock too.

Phone prices at mobile carriers are often higher than what you'd pay directly on a vendor's website or at vendor or independent retail. You need to compare and pick the deal that is right for you.

Best is to buy outright

Why not change to Android instead?

I don't know about the refurb but the new iPhone 16e was 900$ a couple of week ago and now it's 1050$. I don't know why... You can even pre-order the bran new 17e directly from Apple for 900$ right now. Maybe a bug on Fizz website?

Hi @TigerTheLion77
Be careful with refurb iPhones from third party resellers. Some only guarantee a battery above 80%
A refurb iPhone from the Apple Refurb store will have a brand new battery and is fully guaranteed by Apple.
Cheers

BradThis is an excellent point. Be extra careful buying a phone off a place like Marketplace or a third party retailer as they usually come with no guarantee. Saving some money in the short run may cost you in the long run.
