$5 off Travel Data add on - 18 days left?

I see that I have a $5 off for a Travel Data add on in my account. I didn't click on it since I will not need it until my next trip. My question is, it says that there is 18 days left. I will not travel in the next 18 days but some time later...If I click on it, will I be able to use it after 18 days? How does it work?
If I purchase a travel add-on now and use the $5 rabate, my travel add-on will be available until the end of my next payment cycle which would be March 4th if my payments are always on the 5th of the month?

Yes, that is correct. If you buy it now, you have it available until March 4th.
You can stretch it another month, if you need to. If you buy it Feb 5th, it will still be within the 18 days, and it will last to April 4th.

so I have to wait until February 5th to buy it then but the latest that I can buy it and use my $5 off will be 18 days from now..
Is the travel data add-on only good for 7 days once I activate or it's activated as soon as I buy it? Should I wait until I'm abroad to activate it? I also have "1Gb usable in many countries" that is expiring in 129 days that I would also use.

If 7 days covers your entire trip and 1 GB is enough, the free 1 GB in many countries would work as well.
The regular add-ons active immediately when you buy. But the are good for current and next billing cycle, so much longer than the 7 days 1 GB in many countries.

That “18 days left” means the discount itself will expire if it’s not used within that time.
❌ If you do nothing and let the 18 days pass → the $5 discount is lost
✅ If you click and purchase a Travel Data add-on before the 18 days are up, the $5 discount is applied right away
👉 The discount cannot be saved for later use. You must buy the add-on before the countdown ends.
