How old is your phone?

My phone is a month away from being 6.5 years old. It was a hand-me-down, and I've only used it for a year. It's an iPhone, so it's still usable, but a little slow. I can't really leave the house without a portable battery, though. Was going to buy a refurbished one from Fizz at the beginning of the year, but they got rid of the purple stamp on the phone I was looking at, so I changed my mind :(

Anyone else hang on to their phone as long as me? When do you usually decide to get a new phone?

I hung onto my previous one for 5 years, but I was running into issues like not being able to get the latest app updates and then my phone fell out of my pocket, and the screen shattered, so I thought I might as well switch.

3 years is the best time since the battery is guaranteed for 2 years.

My iPhone 7 Plus is from 2016 and has a second battery. I’m going to replace it this year.
