Hi friends!! πŸ‘‹πŸ½

Has anyone ever used Fizz add on data for Dominican Republic? I’m going to La Romana next month and I’m considering trying the $10 3GB add on with Fizz.

Please tell me if you think it’s worth trying or should I use an eSIM instead?

Thank you πŸ™πŸ½

If you don't know if add on works or not, you'd better choose eSIM instead.

You're better off using travel eSIM much more cost effective, then pair it with social media like WhatsApp, Insta, etc.

It’s just the cost I guess

I had bought a data add-on for Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic in 2024 and it had trouble connecting, and when it did connect, the connection was very weak. I don't know if the service has improved since, but I would probably recommend an eSIM

I didn't do the data add-on, but I was recently in the Dominican Republic and was able to connect. The roaming rates were 0.08/MB and 0.04/text. I found coverage was ok - occasionally slow at times, but I think it was likely due to the cell phone infrastructure. I was connected mostly on the Clara network.
