I think the discovery discount applies to any plan you have even if you switch plans but ask support for sure.

You need to provide more information what is 50% discount you are talking about.

If it's a discount following the phone purchase from Fizz or a discovery price you just switched to, then it can be applied to the new plan. If you are an existing user and want to switch to the discovery price, then it's not possible, as the discovery prices are available for the new users only.

Since discovery discount applies to any plan, you'll still get the 50% discount after you change the plan.

The same goes for the phone discount. So, it doesn't really matter what type of discount this is about. Bottom line is, if you have the discount on your current plan and you decide to change the existing plan, the discount will still apply after the change.
