Transferring data to a new phone
Hi, I have a phone with a Fizz plan, and am considering buying a new phone through Fizz. I read the process and saw that I can remove the SIM card from my current phone, and put it in the new phone. I understand that this will not transfer my contacts, or anything else I have saved on the phone. My questions is does anyone know if there is a way to transfer this data to a new phone? Last time I bought a new phone at a Source outlet, they were able to transfer everything over for me in store.

Hi,
The process is different depending on device, OS and the data you want to copy. Most contacts are now saved online in an account rather than on device or sim, pictures, apps and other content differ greatly, you should look up syncing software specific to your decide, or use an expert service if you don't want to do it yourself.0 -

Hi, do you have an Android or an iPhone, and what model is it?

What type of email do you use? Some like Gmail can transfer your info like contacts over to the new phone android or apple. All you have to do is log into your account when setting up your phone and your good to go. If an iPhone you can transfer directly from your old phone just by following the steps when you set up your new phone as long as your old one is an iPhone as well.
I would recommend transferring any pictures to a computer or some other storage device instead of transferring to your new phone to save space.
If your contact are saved only on your phone you may want to set up a Gmail or other service and transfer them over. In the long run it's easier to transfer next time you get a new one.0 -
The easiest way to transfer contacts is by syncing them to a Google or iCloud (for iPhone) account, which will automatically sync them to your new phone when you sign in.
Android
Go to Settings > Google > Settings for Google apps > Google Contacts sync. Ensure "Contacts to sync" is enabled.iPhone
Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud, and make sure "Contacts" is turned on.On your new phone sign in to the same Google or iCloud account. Your contacts should automatically sync.
