Why discovery offer is not applied?

New customers who joined Fizz last month are now finding themselves excluded from the current 50% off promotion.

Fizz’s own AI assistant confirms eligibility, but customer service reps are replying that users are “not eligible” and that “it’s set by Fizz,” without further explanation. This creates confusion and feels unfair to recent customers who just missed the promo window by a few days.

Clarification from a Fizz representative on how eligibility is determined — and whether recent sign-ups can be included — would be appreciated.

"Since you mentioned getting your number last month, you should be eligible if this was a new activation."

THIS IS A NEW ACTIVATION

Why? Sorry, this may not be what you want to hear, but you agreed to subscribe at the full price when you signed up, did you not? Why do you think you are entitled to have the discount applied to your plan retroactively? Promotions generally do not work this way.
If Fizz is willing to provide this on good will, then by all means. But I can hardly see why you think they have to. After all, you feel, it is unfair to customers who missed the window by a few days. So let's say, Fizz gives you a grace period of 10 days. But then those customers who signed up 11 days ago will feel it's unfair. Sorry, but I mean, there has to be some sort of cutoff date.
Next thing, customers you come in a few days after a promotion ends will want it too. It is a bottomless pit...

By the way, you can sign up for a new plan and then scrap the existing one. You do get the discount when you sign up for a new plan, even as an existing customer.

That would mean they have to get a new number though, right?

Not entirely correct. There are ways to keep your number. Like porting out to another provider then porting back in. Will cost the price of a new Sim from whoever you porting to and you would lose whatever time you had remaining on your plan.
