Is this OK? I may not continue to use Fizz after first month

New forum member - don't (yet) have any Fizz plan or phone.

I have a no-data plan with another subscriber, but in a week or so I'll need data for a couple of days.

I can either get a one month add-on from my regular provider for $30, or a month of data-only plan from Fizz for $10 (half off the regular $20 for first 6 months).

The problem is that (must be my Scottish upbringing) I feel bad about taking advantage of this half-off offer knowing that I'll not be continuing with Fizz.

Am I worrying over nothing?

As I type this, my questions seems ridiculous even to me, since I'm not hurting anyone. But can someone soothe my conscience?

Welcome to Fizz! All good about the plans. You can customize it according to your needs. The phones are too expensive unless you have an expensive plan.

Check your account because some users are getting special offers since the prices on the website are intentionally higher so that they can apply perks.

It's a prepaid service, so you can always cancel without any worry.
Just make sure the new plan you are using is better for your needs than other purchasing an addon or using pay-per-use wallet, as you mentioned you only need data for a few days.

Why not transfer your number to Fizz and enjoy the free perks?

The benefit with fizz is that there is no contract, no signup fees or cancelation fees.

I'm certainly thinking about it. I currently have an inexpensive talk/text plan (paying ~$80/year), and can add 40g of data for $80 a year. If I'm happy with Fizz it would make sense for me to switch, but for now I'll enjoy the half-price "holiday" with Fizz while keeping the provider I've been with for 12 years.

I just realised something - I didn't check before if Fizz supports wifi calling, and have just found out that it does not.

I live in a rural area where cell service from national providers is not reliably good enough for voice calls, and I sometimes have to depend on my current provider's wifi calling service. So I almost certainly cannot replace my current service with Fizz.

I was also accustomed to using wifi calling when outside of Canada, but clearly that's a no-go too :(

No wifi calling :( I'm in a rural area with often a poor cell signal.
