Not sure, if this is a new plan that you're activating on the new phone or if you are attempting to transfer an existing plan.
For a new plan, please read this FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/install-and-activate-esim
Make sure, you are on a working Internet connection when you use import the eSim to your new phone. Either WiFi or mobile data of your previous carrier. Depending on your notification settings with Fizz, you should also have received an email, titled "Install your eSim.", with the QR code as well as a server name and activation code you can use for manual activation. The QR- or manual activation code are valid until used, AFAIK, there is no 30-minute timeout when activating an eSim for a new plan. They can only be used once. For transferring an existing plan to a new phone, you need to order a new eSim profile for the phone, it won't be gemerated automatically. Read this FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-can-i-change-sim-associated-my-mobile-plan
Basically, you go to https://zone.fizz.ca/dce/customer-ui-prod/account/plan -> Manage my plan -> Change my SIM and follow the instructions. Here, you do have a 30-minute time limit to activate the new eSim after the profile has been generated. Also note, the same 30-minute delay applies for the new eSim to activate after it has been installed. Again, make sure, the phone is connected to the Internet as you install the eSim. Depending on your notification settings, there also should be an email, titled "Install your new eSim.", with the QR code, manual activation information, and the 30-minute timeout warning.0

i have a new phone where do I find the qr code?To get your Fizz eSIM QR code for a new phone, log in to your Fizz account, go to "My plans," then "Manage my plan," and select "Install my eSIM" to find the QR code. You will need to scan this QR code with your new phone to install the eSIM, and the QR code is only valid for 30 minutes after it is generated.
