Why do my pages often load in French.

I’m in Alberta and it’s constantly set to roaming and making my browsers think I’m in Quebec thus French. Is there a way to change that? Also is the 45$ a month for 100GB my plan till I change it or does it expire eventually?

Not entirely, because your Fizz Internet connection is routed through Montréal.

However, you should be able to mitigate it. Browsers typically have language preferences, where you can set a prioritized list of languages that you want web sites to be presented to you in. Make sure, that says English (Canada) first, then English second, and nothing else.

With these settings, this is happening to me only very occasionally. It's more fun to see all the QC advertising. Can't count the times, it told me all about the latest offers at IGA. When the next IGA is 350 kilometers from my location, and that's line-of-sight :)

You'll keep 45$ a month for 100GB till you change it.

The Fizz DNS servers are likely Quebec based. If you use an app like "1.1.1.1" which helps you change your DNS settings to a different server. A VPN, although not ideal for constant usage, could also do the trick.

Could just switch to English and bookmark that link. Since it’s www.fizz.ca/en it’ll always load in English!
