Have you ever heard about how CO₂ is used in food processing?
Carbon dioxide (CO₂) plays an important role in the food industry. It is commonly used to carbonate beverages such as soft drinks, beer, and sparkling water, giving them their fizzy texture and refreshing taste.
Do you know other functions of CO2?

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) is widely used in the food industry thanks to its many advantages. It is inexpensive, odorless, and has good solubility in water, making it ideal for carbonation in beverages like soda, beer, and sparkling water.

Oxygen, though cheap and safe, cannot replace CO₂ because it causes oxidation, which spoils food and reduces quality.

CO₂ is also used in food packaging — for example, in snack bags — to inflate the package and protect the chips from breaking during transport. Moreover, it helps preserve food by creating an environment that limits bacterial growth. To dissolve CO₂ in drinks, manufacturers use low temperatures and high pressure; that’s why when you open a soda can, you hear a satisfying “pop” as the gas escapes.

Do you know other functions of CO2?Interesting didn't know that

I don't know of other functions of CO2 in food processing but I know it's used by plants for photosynthesis, and plants produce so much food for us, so really, it does tie back to food processing

Interesting.
Is it really a greenhouse gas????0 -

Is it really a greenhouse gas????Yes — CO₂ (carbon dioxide) is indeed a greenhouse gas (GHG), but it’s not the only one.
A greenhouse gas is any gas in the atmosphere that can absorb and emit infrared radiation, trapping heat and warming the Earth’s surface (the greenhouse effect).
CH₄, N₂O, and fluorinated gases are also critical, because they trap much more heat per molecule.0 -
