Significance of network IDs FIZZ vrs FIZZ EXT ?

We just transferred our two Samsung Galaxy A14 Android phones over to the FIZZ service and are on the learning curve. I have the following questions:
1) The top left corner network ids shown on the two phones are different. One phone shows "FIZZ EXT" and the other phone "FIZZ EXT | FIZZ". As I understand it FIZZ uses the Rogers network as the primary choice with the Bell network used an alternate when needed to improve coverage area. Is my understanding correct?
2) Does "FIZZ EXT" indicate usage is limited to the alternate Bell network only and "FIZZ EXT | FIZZ" indicate either Bell or Rogers network can be used?
Thanks in advance for any clarifications.

What you should expect, depends on your location, specifically if you are in a main or extended subscription area. Take a look here:
https://fizz.ca/en/coverageIn a main subscription area, you will be receiving a "Fizz" network (no EXT) and multiple Fizz EXT networks. Fizz will either be Vidéotron (in Ottawa and all of Québec) or Freedom Mobile (everywhere else in Canada). Fizz EXT networks are (Bell, Rogers, Telus & whatever provincial operator your province may have).
In an extended subscription area, you will only receive Fizz EXT networks.
Permanent usage of Fizz EXT networks is allowed only in extended subscription areas, otherwise Fizz EXT shall not be used primarily for more than three consecutive months.
If your Fizz service has just started, the Fizz network may initially also show up as Fizz EXT. This should automatically correct itself after a day or two.
If your phone show "FIZZ EXT | FIZZ", it means your are currently on Fizz EXT with Fizz being your home network. Some Android phones show it that way. I couldn't tell you why one phone would show it differently from the other. Possibly different firmware versions on the phones? Could also depend on how much space other icons are taking up in the status bar at any given time.
