Does anyone know if esim with Fizz works in China?

I am pretty sure I can receive text in China even if I don't have any call/data roaming plan. Recently got a new phone which supports esim. Just not sure if it's a good idea to switch to esim with Fizz.

Fizz offers data and call add-ons for China. I think, you can safely assume that the phone will roam in China for incoming texts free of charge. Whether it is esim or physical sim makes no difference.

If the regular physical sim card works the Esim should work, but i think you should open roaming mode.

If physical sim works, esim should be the same.

    Good morning @zhangxian22

As mentioned by other users, there is no difference in how your phone works with a physical sim or an e-sim. There is no point switching to an e-sim unless you want to also add a physical sim from a different provider that only offers physical sims so you can use both, deciding which one is used for which service.
    Cheers,
    Brad

  • thanks guys. I will keep the physical sim card for now.

@MobileFizzer_VBMV6 @BradDoell I'm using a free trial eSIM, but it shows no service when roaming in China. Can you give me some minds, thanks

"Free trial eSim" is a Fizz SIM? Because there is no such thing, only a moneyback if you cancel within two weeks after activation.

Did you activate the SIM while in China? Some SIMs have to "see" their home network first before they start roaming. Not sure if that applies to Fizz.

Also try Manual Network selection and do a round-robin of each available local network at least twice.

You can switch between ESIM and SIM for free. Just try it see if it works or not.
