I mistakenly did not pick Voicemail with my new plan - can I get it activated sooner?
Unfortunately I was in a hurry to transfer out of the Hell that is Bell and I went through the process too quickly and didn't turn "voicemail" to "on" when I chose my plan (I thought it would be by default). I changed my plan now, but it says it will only become active at the end of the current plan, which is in 29 days. I can't really afford to not have any voicemail for over a month! What about my medical appointments, etc? I'm not always around my phone. Any chance it can be activated sooner?

Formally, no. You'd have to wait until your new plan goes active.
You could contact https://zone.fizz.ca/dce/customer-ui-prod/account/contact-us and hope for some sort of courtesy arrangement.
Or, you get a phone number & voicemail from a third-party and forward your Fizz number to that.
