I thought I had prepared for every possible data emergency. I've rationed gigs, downloaded podcasts on Wi-Fi, and generally been a model of mobile data prudence. But as we all know, fate loves a good plot twist. My moment of digital hubris arrived this weekend during an impromptu road trip with friends who, as it turns out, have a deep, unshakeable love for streaming 4K karaoke videos on YouTube.
What started as a single rendition of a classic 80s ballad quickly devolved into a full-blown digital sing-off that, gig by gig, mercilessly consumed my entire data plan. I tried to warn them, to no avail. The siren song of badly dubbed lyrics and pixel-perfect high-fives was simply too strong. Now, I'm left stranded in the digital wilderness, with my phone functioning as little more than a fancy paperweight and my friends humming the theme song to "Total Eclipse of the Heart" with a smug look of victory.
So, this is my humble S.O.S. to the generous souls of the Fizz Community. If you are one of those amazing givers who have a mountain of current-cycle data and are looking to get rid of some for points and community karma, I would be eternally grateful for any small act of generosity.
## Don't let that precious data go to waste. Help a fellow Fizz member get back online and, perhaps more importantly, prevent future impromptu karaoke sessions from going un-documented.
