Just transferred, some weirdness on my iPhone
I just transferred 2 phones from Fido, both on eSIM.
In settings on my iPhones, I now have 2 profiles, one that seems to be tied to Fido that has the phone number filled in, and one with Fizz, that seems to be handling all the data.
So that's pretty weird, first of all. I was expecting to just have one remaining eSIM.
iMessage doesn't seem to be able to figure things out; conversations are originating from my email addresses now, which is fine, but not ideal. Interestingly, my partner and I have to send SMS messages to each other sometimes; iMessage can't negotiate whatever the problem is.
I've tried disabling Messages and Facetime, powering down the phone and starting it again, that did nothing (and from every message on this forum that I've read so far, it almost never works). I'd be willing to sign out of iCloud and back again if that has a high chance of working. I've also read that maybe this will sort itself out after 24 hours, but again, that seems to (almost?) never work.
Should I just call customer support tomorrow and hope for the best? Should I delete the old Fido eSIM?

Well, if your phone number was successfully transferred to Fizz, then you definitely need to delete the eSIM from the previous provider.

Yes but only after number is corrected transferred.

Good morning @VJGoh
I don’t know for sure if this will fix your iMessage problem, but try adding the +1 for your partners phone number in your contacts.
I am assuming that your iMessage settings are set up to originate iMessages from your phone number? Perhaps the phone switched to email when the transfer was made.
As an fyi, Fizz does not offer telephone support.
You may start a support chat here:

You can check whether or not this is the case. You can turn off the Fido eSIM on your phone without deleting it. Try that and see if you still receive incoming calls and texts from people who are with carriers other than Fizz. If you do, your number port is complete. If you don't, you can simply turn the Fido eSIM back on until you're able to successfully complete the port. Only delete the Fido eSIM after you are certain that all the services work as expected on your Fizz SIM.
It may help with the iMessage / Facetime issue as well, having only the Fizz SIM active, but I can't tell for sure.
