Travel add-ons are now per country instead of per zone?
Hello,
I seem to recall that previously, data travel add-ons were per zone that included multiple countries. So for Europe, for example, I only had to buy 1 add-on to cover multiple countries that I traveled to.
Now, it seems that the add-ons are per country. Is this indeed the case? So if I travel to multiple European countries, I'll need a separate add-on for each country? If so, I'll get a European ESIM instead.
Thanks!

Hi, I would like to get an eSIM in Europe and you will also have voice because Fizz only offers texting and data in Europe.
It takes different additions and you can purchase several travel add-ons at the same time for different countries.

A couple of months ago, when I was over there, the Netherlands data travel add-on worked in Germany as well. The zones are probably still there but are no longer being advertised. Which makes it hard to plan what add-ons to get. Check the add-on prices for the countries you are going to. If they are the same for all countries, you got some chance it will work. If prices are different, probably not.

Yes, European ESIM is a good choice.

A European ESIM would make more sense as if you’re going to multiple different countries in Europe, it doesn’t make sense to keep buying travel addons for each country. It will become quite expensive otherwise. Go for the European ESIM.

If you need only for a bit of data the rest you will use in wifi, use the perks, that they give you, it is not much but it can be enough.
If you need only data, buy an addon will be great for small usage
Otherwise, buy a local SIM, which they also give you options for callsBack to the question, the indication of the zone was removed, but like other mention it is there

European ESIM is your best choice.

Something seem off with the travel add on, I tried to add one and I am only getting pay as you go as an option.
A few years ago the addon was a much better deal than buying a european sim card (esim were not that common), and I got to keep receiving texts from Canada

Thanks all. Looks like ESIM it is.

I wouldn't go this route honestly. As other people suggested, purchasing a different esim with another carrier specifically designed for europe will be way more convenient

It depends on the situation. Does the OP still want to receive incoming texts and voicemail notifications from their Fizz number while travelling? Does the OP have a dual-sim phone? Are they using an esim or a physical sim for the Fizz service? Can their phone do dual-esim? A lot of the lower cost Androids cannot, despite being dual-sim. So, it all depends, there is no easy right answer, both ways have pros and cons.
