Hi all, I'm new to Fizz and to this forum. I switched from Rogers to Fizz last night and so far it has been good. My wife will stay on Rogers for work needs but I'll likely switch our teenage son's phone from Rogers to Fizz as well.

Just wondering if anyone's noticed these minor oddities after switching to Fizz:

- My Samsung Fold 3 wouldn't auto-connect to a 'fast' network operator. Had to chat with Fizz support and they told me to manually select one of the 4 "Fizz EXT" that were listed. 3 out of the worked fine.

- We live in Toronto's downtown core and noticed on my Samsung phone it says "Fizz EXT | Fizz". But I know Freedom's network is everywhere in Toronto, so the "EXT" confuses me. I read in one of Fizz FAQs that the EXT is supposedly disappear after I restart my Samsung in 72 hours, but just wondering if others in Toronto noticed this.

I'm in Markham, and mine also auto-selects to EXT. When I initially started with Fizz, I manually selected it because the regular one without EXT had really slow data (like 3G).

I only did that on the advice of something I saw in a Fizz forum, though, not because of support.

Funny thing: Shortly I posted my original message, the network changed to "Fizz" on my phone, so all's good now.

One other odd thing I just remembered: Trying to find a Fizz SIM is difficult where we live (near Queen's Park). Had to call around and then finally found that the sixth closest Circle K store (Parliament and Wellesley) had them in stock.

Hi , if you see 4 Fizz ext means freedom is also showing as fizz ext, this will go off in 2-3 days. Nothing to worry, initially it showed me fizz ext for few days.
I am using Fizz for an year in gta , and no problems so far.

Welcome to the Fizz community! Glad to hear your phone finally switched over - sometimes the network just likes to keep us on our toes. If you run into any more quirks or need tips, you’ll find lots of friendly folks here ready to help. Enjoy your Fizz experience!
