To be clear, if possible to know it, with a phone saying it is 5G worldwide, android 14 and Bandes : 2G GSM (bandes GSM850/GSM900/DCS1800/PCS1900), 3G WCDMA (bandes 1/2/4/5/6/8/19), 3G CDMA2000 (bandes BC0/BC1), 4G FDD-LTE (bandes 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/20/25/26/28A/28B/66), 4G TDD-LTE (bandes 34/38/39/40/41/42), 5G NR (bandes N1/2/3/5/7/8/20/25/28/38/40/41/66/77/78) + Wi-Fi : WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax 2,4 GHz/5 GHz, Wi-Fi Direct, Écran Wi-Fi, point d'accès Wi-Fi (V2.0), ....... looks like Fizz using the LTE 4 (from videotron ?), B4 AWS1 of 1700/2100MHZ, B7 2600 Mhz, B12 700MHZ and B17 in Vancouver area right ? So i should be good after the end of Canada 3G right ? (No i can't make a dial test now with the phone).

Regardless of the technical specs, Fizz only officially support "Fizz certified" devices, which are available to purchase from Fizz. Mainly IPhones, newer Samsung and TCL devices.
That is not to say that other devices won't work, but Fizz does not officially support them and thus probably won't guarantee function of another device.

Hello, at Fizz 5G doesn't change anything, it does not offer this service. It only offers 4G LTE VOLTE.The frequency question doesn't change anything in the sense that the phone must be compatible with the FIZZ network. The list of compatible phones is here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices Add One Plus 12 and 13. They work but it is not official.

    Frequency use by Fizz:

    B4 (1700/2100 MHz AWS 1) : Services LTE.

B7 (2600 MHz) Metro of Montreal

    B12 (700 MHz ac)
    B17 (700 MHz bc) : Vancouver

Check the signal bar on your phone, if it shows 4g should be good.

Please do check while in a call that the network is in LTE or if it’s falling back to 3G during a call. If it’s Lte while in the call you are good. if it’s falling to 3G then please consider changing the phone.

Bottom line is, just because a phone supports Fizz LTE bands does not guarantee VoLTE functionality on Fizz.

Also can somebody confirm that did anytime Fizz/Videotron/Freedom posted an Ad about 3G shutdown. I know the big three are going to end soon. Is 3G shutdown a carrier specific decision or as a whole telecom industry decision?

Whole telecom industry decision. It was in December 2022 in the United States that 3G ended.

    1. fizz uses the big 3's network as fizz ext so if they are shutting down then so will fizz's ability to use it.
    2. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/why-volte-important here is where fizz confirms its 3g shutdown
