Is Fizz home internet working? Lights on modem blinking off the charts!!

I'm trying to install an ATA(Voiply) and 3 lights on the modem are blinking like crazy, the 5G, the 2.4G and the one above these two. I contacted Voiply and they say my device ATA is offline. I've rebooted the modem(pin at the back) but lights are still flickering. Any ideas?

Hi @Valerie F. #21386
Did you connect using the ethernet cable?
Are you able to connect to the ATA to check the configuration? You should check if the dhcp client is active for exampleWhat is the brand and model of your ATA?
The registration should work, what you can have problem it is the keep alive, but you are not therePS After resetting the modem (with the pin in the back), you need to reconfigured it

Yes I connected using the ethernet cable. What is dhcp client?? It's a Grandstream ATA brand new directly from Voiply. I'm not technologically savvy :-(

Check the status page
In basic settings double check, the DHCP configurationAfter double-check the tab FXS to see the configuration (don't send this, here we can see your credentials)

Otherwise, install the Fizz Wi-Fi app to diagnose and contact Fizz support here: https://fizz.ca/en/support

Yes the mobile and tv seem to be ok even with the 2.4g light flickering all the time. It never did that before seems weird.

ok thanks I will check that out. It's strange that Voiply doesn't mention this. The way they explain the installation takes no longer that 5 minutes, plug this, plug that and you're done! Ya right!

For sure, this configuration should be configured in automatic, and connecting to the modem must be enough
You can also try to connect to a different ethernet port in the modem, and if you can also use a different ethernet cable. Can you also check if the led of the ethernet port is on

From what Voiply is saying my internet connection seems to be the problem. I checked for speed and got Download Mbps 16.71
Upload Mbps 10.90
Is this good??0 -

Regarding the test depends how you did it, if you did this test using the Fizz app or a device connected with the ethernet cable is not good (at least if you don’t have an old 15mbps plan)

Check if the ethernet slot light is on, and ATA need set dhcp mode as well.
