Travelling Time Zone Change

I recently travelled to a new time zone within Canada, and the time on my phone did not update to show the current time for the time zone that I was in. Is this normal? Not that it is really a problem, but it seemed like it was not normal.

    Getting the current time zone from the cell network is also not a feature that is mandatory to support. Carriers can choose not to support this feature.

    Did you set adjust date automatically and enable location services on your phone?
