My phone is not on the supported list of phones, but it can successfully call the test number (#8378) and play the test message:

You will first hear this message in English. Un message en francais suivra. Good news! You've just made a successful Voice Over LTE call. This means your device and SIM card are Voice Over LTE-compatible, and your service will continue even after 3G networks in Canada begin shutting down on July 31st, 2025. Bonne nouvelle!

Despite this, when making calls to other numbers, it downgrades to 3G. What does this mean?

What is the model of your phone?
    Have you last update?

It depends if there is 4G network in the region you are calling from.

I have a OnePlus Nord N200. It's been EOL with no updates for months now.

I don't think I'd be able to make the test call if I wasn't on the LTE network.

The device is end of life and is not receiving anymore updates.

Do you have the Sim card with lightning bolt?

Your mobile is automatic for network ?

To enable VoLTE on Android 12, here are the steps:

    Open Settings:

Navigate to your phone's "Settings" menu.

    Find Mobile Network Options:

Tap "Network & Internet" or "Connections," depending on your device model.

    Enable VoLTE:

Look for "VoLTE calls" or a similar option and toggle it to activate.

    Check Network Mode:

Ensure your preferred network is set to "4G/LTE."

You should be right about this. It still means that your phone is not working on 4G even if you can make the test call. You should contact the support team.

I just noticed this on the VoLTE support page:

Another way to confirm if your phone is VoLTE-compatible at Fizz is to check whether the “LTE” icon remains on the screen during a call. If only "4G" is displayed, it is not sufficient.

When I make the test call, I only see the 4G icon on my notification bar. The LTE icon disappears.
