Hello,

On april 10, someone posted a question and the discussion was closed without a solution. It was about the same error I have.

I try to forward my calls (no-response) to another number with **61*mynumber#. It give this error :

**_Failed to meet an application constraint / "user-no-reply-timer"(804)_**

But I forwarded with success **67* (busy) and **62* (not available). Is there something wrong with your system to forward using **61* ?

Thanks

I've just tried in from my plan. And it works fine here. Location: Toronto, ON, on the Freedom network.

    A few things to consider:

    • You have unlimited minutes or some funds in your wallet?
    • The number you are forwarding to is a Canadian number AND in the coverage area of your Fizz plan?
    • You are on the Fizz network? Not on Fizz EXT?
    • Try to give the entire command, including the forwarding delay.

    Yes unlimited plan.
Yes Canadian number, in the same area and same region.
Yes on Fizz network as usual in my city.

I say it again. The command for **62* and 67 worked in the first try.

The 61 finally worked after some tries. But it still show the error if I try again. So I don't know what is causing the error and why, even if it show, it has finally worked.

To Elena : yes I have a compatible phone. Google Pixel 7 pro.

    Thanks

I was asking since this code are working only on certified VoLTE phone
    probably was a temporary problem

    Hi @Dominic_tech
Are you using a VoLTE certified phone by Fizz?
You can always contact the support https://fizz.ca/en/support

I was asking since this code are working only on certified VoLTE phone

I very much doubt that. These codes are ancient, they have existed since the very first 2G GSM networks have been deployed in the early 1990s. If that was the case, it would have to be a Fizz-specific problem.
However, I am travelling and can't verify this until next week.

I agree with you that are GSM codes and I used them in GSM/UMTS phones before, however, when Fizz implemented the VoLTE they also add this on their page

Call forwarding will work when you use a VoLTE certified phone, activated with a VoLTE compatible SIM card.

And this was the reason of my post

Interesting discussion. Where I think that it's a Fizz problem is that the two other forward commands 62 and 67 worked well, and the 61 worked after some tries while it still showed the error (so I'm pretty sure it's not my phone that caused the issue). The first times I tried, I verified the forward with *#61# and it was saying that there was no forward set. After many verifications, I saw that it has forwarded to my other number.

Fizz has some issues with its infrastructure. The reason I redirect my calls to another number is that their Visual Voicemail app is a total crap that has not been updated for 2 years. The messages cannot be retrieved because of a connection error (issue notified in the Play Store by many users). The support team gave me last year a solution that worked, but I need to do it again and again to makes it work.

So, I created an account with the service VoIP.ms (Canadian company in Quebec province), bought a DID that cost me less than $1 every month (less than the price of the Fizz Voicemail option that I will cancel) and set a free voicemail that send me messages as attachments by email. I tested it with my new forwards and it works well.

Fizz has some issues, but its service and its prices are really great. Thats why I keep it
