hi @3_fizz
My transfer was some time ago and if was very smooth , however, the iPhone 7 is not on the list of certified VoLTE phone by fizz, this means if you have any problems with the calls you will not have any support
An user reported that is working, but it doesn’t use it for calls, therefore, he cannot really validate it, since the data will work
Regarding iMessage, users reported a problem during the first day of the porting, someone reported was able to use it right away authenticating with the email

I'd exercise caution, iPhone 7 is not in the Fizz' list of phones certified for VoLTE and you are going to need that starting from August this year.
My recommendation would be to buy and activate a physical Fizz sim card on a low-cost plan and try it out. If everything works to your satisfaction, you buy a 2nd sim on the plan you want and transfer your number to that 2nd sim. Then just cancel the 1st at the end of its billing cycle.

i would recommend you get to upgrade the phone. iphone7 works and has volte but the signal/antenna on iphone 7 is very poor. this lead to people calling the phone not hearing a ring tone and a lot of times prematurely hanging up thinking the call didnt go through. even on the fizz ext network with rogers, iphone 7 showed only 1 bar of signal most of the time. data and imessage was fine (linked to email though). make sure to toggle volte in settings

it's the iphone 7 not iphone 7 plus i guess that are not the same and wanna to know other user's experience. its costly to get a new iphone and upgrade is not an option right now. based on the messages i gather that i need a new physical sim card if i switch phones?0

Test with #8378 for best answers.

Hi,
@3_fizzSyncing apple messages is not a function of the device being used. There have been users reporting problems with getting apple messages up and running again when switching providers, but this sorts out.
Be sure to have your messages synced to your iCloud account before you switch.

As for the missing “etc.” I have had several iOS devices over the years and have yet to be missing anything. Be sure to check the settings on non App,e apps like WhatsApp, Snapchat and the like to see what your backup/sync settings are set to.
Cheers,
Brad
