Is there any advantage to getting phones from Fizz when there are no promotion on the phone

They seem to be the same price, maybe even more expensive than best buy. Why buy from fizz than online or from a store?

Hi, there are points so 3 points per dollar and points for badges.

If the question of points leaves you indifferent, go to the best prices but be careful, your phone must be Canadian or of the USA model.

Other phones like models from Europe will not be activated like Volte.

Also to be monitored if you buy an ESIM only model or USA like iPhone, Fizz will not be able to activate it on a plan already set up but only in physical SIM for the moment or on a new subscription. Be sure that it is the SIM and ESIM the 2.

    Hi @MedullaOblonga

If you decide to buy it from somewhere other than Fizz, make sure to purchase a phone from this list. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices#3 and be sure that the phone is for the Canadian market, which guarantee the right frequency.

It's the best plan I can get since I'm not a heavy data user.

If there were a promotion on a new phone I wouldn't mind picking it up but I wouldn't change my plan because I would lose my previous pricing even though I could get a massive data plan.

I plan to keep my phone for at least 3-5 years so when the discount pricing ends 2 years later and the plans aren't great I'm stuck with a huge bill until the prices calm down.

You don't need to change your plan when you buy a new phone. You can keep your actual one.

Phones from fizz could be more expensive, but you will be able to accumulate points faster to get higher rewards faster

They are certified Volte with Fizz ( if it's specified as such ).

You still can buy the same phone at half the price in other stores.

Recently Fizz hasn't being doing any interesting promo on phones. Only some discounts on plans are offered when you buy certain phones. I would say if the price is the same, go with Fizz. If you can find it cheaper elsewhere go with that.

I bought a phone from Fizz in the past since it was discounted. I got 3 points per dollar plus the phonista badge. Recently I had to buy a new phone and I did it from another seller since it was discounted and I was getting a smartwatch as well for a small addition. Fizz wasn't convenient at all for me even though was discounting my plan.
