Old plan to eSim

I have recently purchased a much newer phone that dies not support Sim anymore. I would like to be kept up-to-date about this functionality as I intend to keep my phone number.
Is there any eMail list to register to or any confirmed date regarding eSim transfers so I do not miss it when it comes? I cannot sustainably wait for this for too long!
Thank you

Good afternoon @Waiting4eSim
I am not aware of any push type of service like an email notification, that would let you know about activation changes.
Also keep in mind that you have purchased a phone that is not sold for the Canadian market, and therefore, it may or may not work in Canada.
Others have mentioned on other threads that to move your number from a a physical Fizz sim to an eSIM, you must first transfer the physical sim number to a different provider and then transfer it back to Fizz on an eSIM.
From the FAQ:
“The eSIM is only offered for the activation of a new mobile plan.
The following features will be offered shortly (but are not for now):
- Changing a physical SIM associated with an existing Fizz mobile plan for an eSIM.
- Changing the eSIM associated with an existing Fizz mobile plan for another eSIM.
- Transfer an eSIM from one phone to another.”
