Imessage activation error
I bought a new iphone 16 pro max (upgrade from my iphone 14 pro) at the apple store yesterday and transfered my sim into it. I can call, text, use LTE, etc. The problem is my new iphone will not connect to imessage. I tried to turn imessage / facetime on and off, i tried taking out the sim, i tried restarting the phone, i tried waiting for it to load, i tried logging in and out of my apple account. Nothing works. What can i do?

Other users reported a similar problem, for someone the problem was solved 48 hours after the porting.
I cannot tell you if the problem is with Apple or Fizz

Go into your messages settings and check to ensure the phone number has been selected as one of the options to send/receive iMessages.
Personally, I always set up convos to start from an email address rather than a phone number. This ensures your iMessages will work if you travel and only have data access.
