If I upgrade my phone to one with an eSIM can I keep my number?

I want to buy a new iPhone, if it happens to be eSIM only will I be able to purchase a new plan but transfer my number?

    At the moment you cannot transfer the SIM to eSIM, you need to open a new plan.

    However, you cannot transfer a plan to another plan within FIzz, the only option, is to transfer to a different provider and transfer back

    You can do this by porting out to another service provider then cancelling after a month or porting to a VOIP service that does the same thing but at a lower cost.

    You can then port back into a new plan under Fizz but do be warned that you may lose points if that is the only plan on your account as it will be considered inactive.

    iPhones in Canada will still come with a physical SIM slot for the foreseeable future.

    Fizz has said that changing over from SIM to eSIM is in the works for current users but no ETA.
