What do you recommend the best winter boots for slippery sidewalks?

When navigating slippery sidewalks during Montreal's harsh winters, selecting boots with superior traction is essential. Boot with retractable metal cleats, these ankle-high boots provide additional grip on icy surfaces are my prefered.

They are a little pricey, but olang boots are an actual dream. Easy to switch from cleats to no cleats. I have mine since 3 years, and they are still going to last me for a couple more. (Look for them when there are sale or at a local shop, they can be find for cheaper!!)

Blundstone boots are a solid choice. They're tough, comfy, and have pretty good traction for those slippery sidewalks. They’re not super insulated like some other winter boots, but if you throw on some warm socks or insoles, they work just fine. Plus, they’re waterproof, so your feet stay dry in the snow and slush!
