yes it is possible here the guide https://fizz.ca/en/faq/activation-how-do-i-transfer-my-current-phone-number-to-fizz , during the activation it will ask, and remember to not close the previous provider, when the porting is completed the account with the other provider will be close.

And if you are a Fizz user, you should open a new account in this way you can use your referral code and get 35$ on each plan at the second payement.

Yes. Number Portability works. All 3 in my house used number portability to keep our numbers.
