Changing plan takes a month?

I'm going to the US for 2 weeks, and wanted to change my plan to Canada+US. I tried a week ago, and it said I couldn't until my next cycle, which started yesterday. I go to change my plan today, and it says it won't take effect until Jan 18th!

Is there a way to make the plan take effect now? I leave in 2 days!

no sorry the modification of the plans will be effective the next payment cycle. Fizz is a prepaid service.

You can add an addon for each service that you need or in some province they allow the pay as you go putting money in the fizz’s wallet

If for you it is extremely important you can create a new plan to use only in this trip

    Good morning @mrheng

Just an fyi for,the future, here is a snippet from the FAQ. You can change your plan anytime, however it doesn’t take effect until the next payment cycle and must be done at least six days before the current payment cycle ends.

“You can change your plan directly in your account on Fizz.ca. Changes will go live come your next payment cycle

Good to know: Keep in mind the freeze period during which your plan cannot be modified. Ideally, aim to submit your changes when there are at least six (6) days left in your current payment cycle. How can you know? Go in Your account > My plans. Look right under your monthly price and you will see the days remaining in your payment cycle. ”

As Elena noted in her answer, an add on for data and/or calls is an option. Add ons take effect immediately. Here are the instructions.
