Bunch of questions for the group regarding Fizz

1- If I activate a data only plan website said it still gets incoming text? Is there a way to even block incoming text if I am not interested in them? (data for kids to play games on thier phones)
2- Does a data only plan still qualify for referal bonuses? (on other providers the referal dollar amount can not exceed the plan cost, does Fizz have similar restrictions or would I still get the full $35?)
3- If I activate a line is it possible to just use a temporary number first and port over real number at a later date? Are there any extra fees to do so? (vs port over at time of activation)
4- Details about rewards / perks / levels... I read a few posts and from other websites and I am totally confused... even basic details about how many points are earned and how many are required per reward level
5- Plan changes / Addons - If I activate a specific plan now (eg provincial calling + data) is there any sort of temporary addon to get something like roaming? Or do I need to change entire plan? (on signup website its a modular system with click / unclick sliders, is my account change similar?)
6- Long Distance / addons - its interesting how they have an option for country specific long distance, is this baked into the plan or is this an addon that can be added / changed / removed at will as needed?
7- Are plans usually 5G? Or 4G and upgrade to get 5G? What network is Fizz normally using? (in coverage areas)
8- Can you do multiple data gifts (eg 1 to each child account) or is there any sort of limit / restriction? (eg max gb donated or only 1 transfer per month or)
9- Is it correct you cant port a number from a voip or landline? It seems to imply they only do cellular transfers. Is the restriction based on number or based on current location (can I get around restrict by porting voip to my other cell provider then porting number into Fizz)

- You can block from your phone, Fizz doesn't offer this service
- Yes
- No, in order to port a number this should be done on the activation of the plan, therefore, you need to open a new plan, if you want to use a referral code you need to open a new account, since you can use the referral code only on the first activated plan.

- Yes you need to buy travel addon
- You can add a country in your plan or buy an addon is up to you (in some province, you can use the fizz wallet) and yes you can change your plan
- At the moment is 4G
- you can gift all your data, in one shot or in a pieces of 500mb till the you give all the data of your monthly plan
- You can port only number from Canadian mobiles on the coverage zone , yes you can port the VoIP to a mobile provider and after to Fizz

10) Yes you can change the number easy, you have two options random number, or pick the last four numbers, ps you need to pay for it,
10b) You cannot port the number on a plan
11) No you can get all plan in one account, however, if you open 3 plans in one account and if you use a referral code, you will get only 35$ credit. If you open 3 accounts, in each one plan, you will get 175$ in total, suppose you activate the plan1 in account1 using a referral code, at the second month you will get 35$ credit, you activate the second account using the referral code of the first account, you will get 35$ on the first account and 35$ on the second, etc (the 35$ at your second payment)
12) No, explained at point 11
13) yes however, at most you will get 10 rewards, https://fizz.ca/en/rewards-program, all share between plans

Participate in the community and you'll receive:
• 3 points for answering a question
• 50 points for providing the first best answer
• 100 points for each month of activity
You'll also receive points for earning various badges.
On your Fizz account, you'll receive:
• 10 points for every dollar paid on your monthly plan.
• Nearly 3 points for every dollar spent at the Fizz mobile store here:
• 3 points every time you gift data from your mobile plan:
• 200 points for every confirmed referral (2nd payment):
The points you earn will be automatically recorded in your account, on the left menu when you log in, or under My Fizz Benefits/My Rewards.

For 9, I think you can port voip number to another mobile company then port into Fizz.

Couple final questions that came up afterwards
10- Regarding phone numbers. Is it easy to do a phone number change on Fizz portal? (either new number or later date port in). Are there any fees associated with this?
11- Regarding phone lines, does each phone number require a seperate account? (as a competitor does, 1 phone number per email). Or can I have 3 lines all under that single account?
12- If we are allowed more than 1 line per account, is it still possible to refer yourself? (eg Line 1 gives refer code to Line 2)
13- If we are allowed more than 1 line per account do they pool / share the rewards / points / wallet balances?1 -
