Lost phone, can I replace with eSIM?
hello,
I lost my phone and blocked it and the SIM card. I am physically in the US for another 10 days. Can I buy a new phone here and get an eSIM card to keep my phone number and current plan? Ot should I get a US SIM card for the 10 days and get a new physical SIM card when I return? Thanks!

You're most likely going to have to contact support to release/deactivate the current SIM.
The feature to change from SIM to eSIM isn't available at the moment so you will most likely have to get a physical SIM when you are back in Canada.
They will ask you to present your ID and proof of payment with the card on file to verify your identity when you swap.
A new phone and temporary USA travel eSIM should help you get connectivity during your stay.

From the moment is not allowed, but you should validate with Fizz's support probably the can make an exception for you. Regarding the phone, yes you can buy double check that is not SIM locked.
If you cannot do it, for sure you can buy a Fizz SIM and replace when you are back in Canada, please read the previous link that I posted.

Thank you for the quick answer. For future reference, it is not possible to replace a physical with an eSIM. Getting a new eSIM implies a new phone number an a new plan. I have to wait until I get back to Canada to get a new SIm card.

Benoit, sorry to hear that. Try login to Fizz portal to block the SIM card first.
