Questions About Switching to Ontario Coverage

Hi everyone, I’m considering switching to an Ontario-only coverage plan and have a few concerns I couldn’t fully resolve through the FAQ. I’d really appreciate it if you could confirm the following:

1️⃣ Does Ontario coverage work in Gatineau?
I live in Ottawa and visit Gatineau about once a month. I read that Quebec plans cover usage in Ottawa(calling ottawa 613 numbers, using data when go to Ottawa) without extra charges, but I’m unsure if the reverse applies (Ontario plan in Gatineau).

2️⃣ Can I receive calls from other provinces, and are there extra charges?
I understand that with Ontario coverage, I can’t call non-Ontario numbers. But can I still receive calls from outside Ontario? Does it matter if the caller is physically in Ontario or another province (e.g., a Vancouver number calling from Vancouver vs. from Ontario)?

3️⃣ What are the options for using services outside Ontario?
If Ontario coverage means no calls, sending texts, or data outside the province (not sure about the data part, please correct me if I’m wrong) what are the costs for pay-as-you-go or travel add-ons when traveling to other provinces in Canada?

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi @Qwert_0

    1. No, Ottawa was covered from Quebec coverage when Fizz was available only in Quebec
    2. Yes, if you are in your coverage zone (Ontario). You can receive call (when you are in Ontario) from all around the world
    3. No, you cannot use the phone outside the coverage zone, at the exception to the incoming SMS
