What happens to my expiring data after gifting?

Hi I have data about to expire. But instead of letting it expire I gift it however am not sure if fizz allows you to gift expiring data or it just comes out of your overall data amount and the expiring one still expires. I know my question is confusing but am also confused.

you can only gift the data of the current month, therefore you cannot gift data from the rollover

Its going to be rollover. But rollover data can not be gifted.
